Just hope.. That is all it is, lots of hope. Eventually that hope will lead you to the answers you want. Not the correct answers, but it is all irrelevant anyways.

I don't know too many people who get direct answers about stuff in "grey area"s. Mostly, you need to study the Bible and learn what God has to say about everything and how we should live. God blessed you with logic and discernment to make decisions based on what you know or have learned to be true. So, learn what God says is true, and use your logic. If no answer is obvious, maybe a "door" will open, maybe a "door" will close to make your decision easier. But the only thing God promises about making decisions (bad or good) in this life, is that He will not leave us. If we make a "wrong" decision He is there for us just the same. And we learn to trust and love Him all the more, which may mean that in the end, what you think was a wrong decision, was actually the right one. "God works all things for good for those that love the Lord." Does that mean nothing that we think of as "bad" will happen to you? NO. It means that good will come from it. You may never know how. But good will come from it, maybe to someone else as a result of your suffering in some way, or maybe simply by strengthening your faith... Just trust in God that He will not leave nor forsake you, and stop looking for "signs"... Faith means NOT seeing, yet believing. Other than that, not knowing what decision you are facing, I would say to seek out someone in the clergy... not necessarily a priest, mind you, but a Pastor, who can sit down with you and explain how God's Word applies to your situation/decision...

Words are our own invention. That probably isn't for what to listen. Yes, many claim to have a personal relationship with God. But it is hard to know how to take that. There are countless reasons for people to say that. Eastern religions distinguish between the relative and the ultimate. Words are the relative. Maybe, whatever your religion, you could acquire the guidance you seek with a quote of an eastern scholar which I have recently became familiar. He uses this site and his name is Deepak Chopra. The quote, I have in mind, is:
"Love is the ultimate truth at the heart of creation."
If there is one reason we exist, it must be to love.

First of all, you need to be sure that you understand, the only way anyone can access God the Father is through His son, Jesus Christ.
That being said, find a good bible teaching church, get into bible study and begin praying regularly. God will not withhold His revelation or His spirit from you; you surely will hear from Him. Much of the time, He will "speak" to you through that which is right in front of us....His word, the bible!

sounds like a good time todevelop that relationship so He does not have to arrange another trial to prepar you. Say somewhere alone in all sincerity and earnestness to God. Lord I am unable to see my way and I want to do as you wish and (if you do) want to be your friend and ask that you be my friend. Help me to know what to say and do to be a good friend. You may be awed at what happens next I was.
Oh and I almost forgot keep saying that prayer every morning the rest of your life, and the beat goes on the beat goes on.

God only gives good gifts, so when you feel good about a thought or answer that's God, when you have a thought that you KNOW was not there before, that's God, when you pray, address God, thank Him for the good things in your life,be specific, ask Him for what you need, and close "in the name of Jesus Christ Amen". some have been known to stay in prayer for hours to learn to communicate with God. It is ok, just do it in private.

The Christ said to go into the closet of your mind, close the door, and be with your Father who sees in secret, and your Father will reward you openly.
It is not so that you have no relationship with "Him". You are part of "Him". Be still, quiet your restless mind, and know God could never leave you, nor could you leave God.

In a "still small voice."
Matthew 7:7-13 7"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9"Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?
10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?
11If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
12So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
*********************************************
Jesus said, John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus *is* the narrow gate spoken of in Matthew 7, above.
PS: From personal experience, when I was overwhelmed and totally confused about a certain matter. The most powerful prayer I have ever prayed was; "Do something!"
I was at a loss for thought and for words, but surrendered the moment to Jesus and all I could say was, "Do something!"
Wow! And did He ever. Mountains moved in my life after that and they are still being moved.
My point is this, don't worry if you don't even know what to ask for, just surrender the situation to Him and ask Him to move on the matter, to move in your life. He loves you and will honor your humbled heart.

Surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ by accepting Him as your own personal Savior & Lord. Then you'll have a right relationship with God through His Son. As you commit your life to the Lord Jesus the Holy Spirit will dwell in you. As you read God's word, the Holy Bible, the Holy Spirit will quicken His word and you will hear God's voice speaking to you. As you seek the Lord with all your heart , you will find Him.

First off, If you don't have the personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and have accepted His grace for your Sins paid on a cross. You don't have His ear.
He is speaking to your ear though.
He wants to have you know Him, first through acceptance of His salvation for your sins.
Second, once you have accepted Him, you need to know the one who is here to help us. That is the Holy Spirit. The third person of the Godhead.
Read your Bible, John 14 He will be the one to Know. He will be the one to speak to you about your life, and His Destiny for you.
He is only a prayer away. Be still and listen, and Know He is God.
