I feel like my dog likes me because of the food not becuz he likes me.

Does he greet you at the door when you've been gone, tail wagging? does he follow you around when your home? If he does he loves you. Have someone else watch him while you move around the room, his eyes will pro-bally follow you where ever you go. But, a good waggin' tail is a sure sign of happiness and affection.

While using food to initiate a relationship with a canine, it's not fair to compare their behavior to humans. Because dogs can and will become completely attached unlike humans. They are far more trustworthy

when you take your dog for a walk, or play with him, he's totally having fun right? i mean, you can see it in his face that he trusts you and loves you. if he loved you only because you fed him, then i would think your dog would not show love to you when you weren't in the act of feeding him.
