It takes 2.35 wrecking balls to equal the destructive capacity of the average kitten! (Not that there are any "average" kittens, mind you.) In fact, catologists and kittenologists no longer use mere wrecking balls as comparisons for kittens ... it was just making wrecking balls look pretty wimpy.

A more accurate measure of the destructability of a kitten is the modified Garfield-Morris-Felix Scale, which is most closely analogous to the Safir-Simpson scale used to rate major hurricanes. In fact, your average kitten is about the equivalent of a Category 3 storm. Of course, in your case, you have THREE kittens, so you will need to multiply the force threefold.

The nice thing about kittens, unlike wrecking balls, is that they are cute and they purrrrrrr .... making it pretty easy to forgive them. In the meantime, lock away the TP and anything breakable.

Four at Christmas time!!!

We adopted our Stanzi as a stray seven years ago, took her down to the vet's to be fixed but the vet said she was already pregnant and so of course we had to let nature take its course on this occasion.

The four adorable results of this pregnancy were just seven months old by the following Christmas and they had such unbelievable fun with the decorations and the wrapping paper!

We always have two Christmas trees and they loved to perch in them - being just light enough not to topple the trees this was an incredibly cute sight and we treasure the photos we took.

And then there was the great paper chase - all over the house on Christmas morning - we were finding bits we has missed picking up on the day for weeks afterwards!

Also, many years ago, I had one who would chew paper. She once chewed up a cheque for £50 - luckily it was a present from my Mum and Dad, if it had been from a business I would probably have had a problem getting it replaced! I was always having to check that I hadn't left anything paper within reach as I was really worried that it would harm her.

It's a lovely time - make the most of the fun, they soon grow up!

I love plants. I used to have a bunch until I had kittens. They would all get repeatedly knocked over and eventually die of shock. I eventually got cacti, figuring I'd need something with self-defense. The cats are more careful around the cacti.
Every once in a while, a plate or something gets knocked over, but what the heck. Kitty enthusiasm. Whatcha gonna do :)

OHhh I have a ceramic owl that sits on top of my very tall entertainment center and I swear that my cats are infatuated with getting up there to chatter to it...lol
I've also had them climb in the kitchen cabinets and break all the pyrex and then when the pyrex hit the floor, broke the ceramic tiles...and forget about having placemats on a table...the cats will find a way to get them on the floor and play with them, And the worst is when their toys get stuck inside the printer!!!arghhhhhh LOL
You gotta love them though..the precious little brats..:)

Ooooh, my little chicken is a terror! (yeah his name is chicken, but he's a cat) He used to climb up my leg wen he was only 2 months old and would try to nurse on my ear, now he just likes to chew on strings from my clothes that has the stringy ties, or bite the dogs tail fur! It's good though cause he also gets my other older fat cat moving. Unless he's after our feet! We are always very careful when we walk about the house because he would hide underneath chairs or behind walls and all of a sudden jump out and try to wrestle with our feet!

Keeps us on our toes. Gotta love em. My husband never had cats and didn't think he'd like them, now he's totally inlove with them!

one.
two are the equivalent of an earthquake, three are the equivalent of a tornado hitting the house on a regular basis.
mine figured out how to knock books off the bookshelves, so that they can curl up on the shelf and go to sleep. (the brats) they also knock things off of any surface in the house, and if the fridge is open, try to get inside it.

< 1, I had a cat, not a kitten mind you, who was so bad, he thought his name was 'Son of a B*itch' . He regularly opened kitchen cabinets and emptied them, leaving broken glass and dishes all over.

Same thing for the medicine cabinet.

He would claw on the screens until he tore one, then he would claw a big hole in them.

If you left anything on a horizontal surface, it ended up on the floor.

Plants were destroyed. Water was turned on. He loved to flush the toilet.

It doesn't take much does it. Just sit back and enjoy the shenanigans because like children they grow out of it and you end up saying " remember when" To me nothing is as fun as kittens. I wish I had some again.

It only takes 1 very inquisitive cutie. Once you get over the anger, from the mess they created, don't you find yourself laughing? Soon enough, they will be fat and lazy, and sleep all day. Enjoy the fun they bring, but remember to keep them safe from things that could hurt them.
