They discovered 8 lbs. of weed, some weed butter? and mushrooms. He said he was growing this stuff for a sick relative. Well, they didn't arrest him on the spot because he cooperated. Maybe this week coming up. How weird is that?

I never heard of weed butter , either. I do think that weed should be legal but it isn't in Michigan and up north , I know of people who were locked up for having 1dime bag. So, I am just floored.

Weed butter is usually only used by people for medicinal use! Not everyone can smoke it, so they grind it up and mix it with butter and spread it on their bread to get it in their system.
So, I can understand why the cops believed the man and let him go for now. :)

Pot or possession of is a misdemeanor in Michigan and usually you are just issued an appearance ticket, as for the mushrooms I think they are a high misdemeanor but I am not sure, and I have never heard of weed butter so I don't know there. It seems to me the quantity would be enough to make a distribution charge likely. But I really don't know. Yes, I think it is weird.

I'am not a Police officer, but if he had all the documents and was Straight. I do believe most of them would let him go. If these are times of change, that's one for the good.
