My older Brother who is enteligent, educated, and 99.9% of the time is a responible person, Last Wednesday he arrived at my Grandfathers funeral drunk out of his mind he made a complete *** of him self and was thrown out on his ear by force of other family members, this was the second time in my life that i have seen him drunk, he is not a drinker! The first time that i ever saw him drunk was seven years ago at my Sisters wedding where he was so drunk that he exposed himself and urinated on the floor in front of 330+ people he was pitched from the church by force as well! What do you make of this?

Contact your local chapter of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Health:
http://www.nami.org/Template.cfm?Section=Your_Local_NAMI&Template=/CustomSource/AffiliateFinder.cfm

Explain the circumstances to them, they would know what's available in your area.

Ignore people who tell you to get him to Alcoholics Anonymous. AA is not set up for people with a mental illness and many with mental health issues who end up there get worse. I bounced in and out of the rooms for 20 years only getting worse before I finally got some decent mental health care for major depression.

He seems to have a drinking problem, but also a social phobia. He probably self-medicates Too much, but he needs to numb the tensions/fears?
