All religions claim to be about peach, love and happiness.

I'm happy you're searching. Everyone is "spiritual" even if they don't indentify with any religion. However, in its best forms, religious beliefs do help us satisfy our spiritual questions.

First, find people who you admire who are religious. Ask them to introduce you to their religious community. See if you fit in with them socially (first step). Ask them for a short book about their key beliefs. Most religious groups have beliefs that cannot be verified scientifically or logically (ie, Jesus was the Son of God, born of the Virgin Mary, etc -- not exactly scientific findings).

In the end, you will find a home in the group where the beliefs make the most sense to you. And, over time, you may leave one group and go to another.

Whatever you do, keep searching... email me if you have more questions that I didn't answer.

There are a myriad of religions practiced on this planet and the main reason for that is due to the fact that religion, like so many other things in life, does not come in a "one size fits all."

My advice for you is to talk to the people you know. Find out what religious beliefs they hold and why. Then ask to accompany them to their place of worship. Continue doing this until you find one that makes you comfortable, that sits right in your heart.

However, if you do not know many religious people, or are unwilling to approach them because you are looking for personal revelations, then I suggest you turn to your phone book. Look up your local churches and begin attending their services. Take notes and compare, be sure to include a pro/con list to help in your decisions.

If you have non-denominational churches in your area, they are often a great place to meet people from many different belief systems who are just wanting to share in the spirituality of their fellow human.

Finding your spirituality is a personal journey but one that is helped by religious teachings. Going with friends can ease the uncomfortable feeling of not knowing anyone but sometimes friends can be offended if you decide that their belief is not quite right for you.

Good luck and I hope that this helps on your personal journey. I began my journey when I was 14 and it took many, sometimes agonizing, attempts at different belief systems before I found the one that answered the questions in my heart. Be patient, you will find the one that fits you as well I am sure.

If you are as you say, then read "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website.

It is the only concept that gives you a logical explanation of God and the Universe, and of our place in it, and it is the only belief that does not contain any reference to blood, murder or hatred. It contains no threats and no false promises. But it explains what unconitional love is, and how we can earn our eternal happiness.

Personally I would say to try to read up on them and go from there. I am an Atheist, I don't believe in god. You can have Peace , love and happiness with out religion. "Wicca" sounds like it might be a good place for you to start reading up on. As they believe in doing no harm to others. Good Luck with your quest and please keep an open mind and over look those who answered to choose their religion cause their is the only one and the only way. That is false. You need to pick what is right for you. Follow your heart and make your own footsteps don't follow in theirs.

you might want to try asking your friends who are religious what is it like for them and what their religion means to them. It is not advisable to use the internet when you are trying to find a religion because there are too many misleading information out there. A friend who you know holds the same values that you do and is deeply involved in religion is your best choice. Religion is supposed to provide spiritual support so it is also a good idea to think about why you want a religion too.

Find your own way, define your own beliefs and then see if there is a religion that reflects what you find to be true. That is the path of a spiritual seeker.

Check Wikipedia to learn about various religions.

pray every morning that God guide you to the truth and that He does it gently. Raed the Holy books, my favorite is the Bible and the new living translation is an easy read. Remember this. There are wolves in sheepd clothing who have their own agendas and are not as interested in you as they ought to be. If you read b4 they tell you what it is all about then God can talk to you straight and not through some possibly selfish persond filter. Any time you see a group saying they are better than the others remember this true christians and lovers of God are in one accord and do not parade out the differences they tell you what binds them all together in one accord.
