The word Holiness means "To be seperate and apart" right? Think on it, to acknowlege Holiness means to acknolwege their own failures and they don't feel like being judged

The way your question is worded, I am not sure if you are talking about the attribute of holiness or the pope. I will try to answer as pertains to the attribute.
True holiness can unnerve people because it may expose the sin and darkness in a person's life. For instance, how two people would respond to a person in need with either compassion or disdain. Compassion is found in a person who has the attribute of holiness, while disdain is found in a person who tends to be proud, self-righteous and critical.

The "better than thou" attitude.

And the belief that you are better in the eyes of god, whn god is beyond the imagination and scope of human thought.

Our scripture is outdated metaphore for old timey people without education. http://flushaholybook.com is where the holy books belong.
