No, the Amish are not the only true Christians.
You may not know enough Christians who aren't Amish to pass your judgment.

"well first of all Amish isn't a religion. Amish are Menonnite which is a denomination of Christianity. And i believe that they are raised a certain way, and thats why they react the way they do, not because they are Amish."
The Amish broke off from the Mennonites and neither religions are part of the other. Amish is most definitely classified as a religion--it is an Anabaptist religion. Mennonites are too as is the Church of Christ (not the United church of christ.) They are raised a certain way that is true, but they are given the opportunity to make their own choices about how they choose to live their lives. Although "raised a certain way" they are human and have human feelings. The way they were raised helps them to deal with life crisis'. That and the fact that they have a great deal of support within their own communities, but it is not the only reason. It is because they sincerely do have forgivness and love. I live in the community where this happened and was there from the beginning until the end (when the schoolhouse came down) and I can assure you they are sincere and honest in their feelings.
Also it was 35 Amish who went to the funeral which made more Amish than English there. Also Roberts grave has been desecrated and the Amish have been the ones to fix it.

So there is a definition for what a true Christinite is now, because I don't believe it. The Amish profess a Christian faith and from what I have seen they are as much Christian (if not more so) as any others who have claimed the title. And I do not intend that as any form of insult to the Amish.

They are a shining example of true Christianity, in this event. But there are other ways to show grace and peace. Mother Teresa could not have been Amish, as she did her work in Calcuta, out in the world. Other Christians, where I live, work on the houses of elderly widows. We are all part of the Body of Christ.

I'm a Christian, and I'm sure i could learn alot from these amish people. I am not perfect, thats for sure, but I try to learn right, everyday, and make good desicions. Forgiveness is very important. I f every one was truelly forgiving, there would be peace on earth for everyone.
Hating is like cancer, and it gives an excuse to do every kind of wrong that exist.
but Jesus said "forgive them, for they know not what they do."
I always try to remember this.
There are many people I have forgiven in my life, but I couldn't have done this with out the grace of God.

I would say the world could learn a lot from the Amish. When a person learns to forgive and love unconditionally they are way ahead of the pack. Some think the Amish are lacking and backwards. I say they are god loving and good people..

I've known a lot of Christians in my life. A lot of them. And I have never seen a more generous and Christlike group of individuals as these. The Amish actually make me respect their religion.

No, i dont think they are the only true Christians. In reality, true Christianity cannot really be measured by a denomination or a specific religion, because being a true Christian is really about your faith and relationship with Christ and with others as well.
