it is called faith.
Hebrews 11:1
faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things NOT seen.
funny how that works for the religious.
I like to "see" for myself that is why I am a deist.
and Davi--does that mean Nostradamus was receiving God's thoughts too?

Funny. I have met Him, but not in the way most people meet others, i.e., in person, involving a physical body. I've been studying the bible for ten years. I've read about Jesus, talked to Him, heard from Him, felt His presence, in prayer, many different places...for all this time. Jesus said to Thomas "you see and believe; but blessed are they who do not see, and yet believe". We have other senses besides the most obvious ones. And you know, I believe more completely in the things I cannot see, the things of God, which are eternal, than in those things I can see with my eyes, this earth....which is passing away.

I didnot meet my great grandfather atll. Or for that matter, in my case I have not met my grandfather who died before I was born.
Does that take away the fact that they lived / Aren`t my parents proof enough ?
But , more importantly, I am told , many times, that I have inherited many features and qualilities of my gfrandfather. So is with Jesus. Many of us... you and me and others have inherited qualities of Jesus, handed down by generaytions. They are the best proof.

The proof is in Bible prophecy. There are 8000 verses of prophecy in the Bible, 90% of those prophecies have been fulfilled. Scholars have listed over 100 prophecies in the Old Testament relating to the birth, earthly mission, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Everyone of them fulfilled. The odds of one man fulfilling only 48 of those prophecies is 1 to 10 with 157 zeros following it. There is historical proof that Jesus lived from the writings of Josephus, Tacitus, Pliny the Younger, Lucian and the Babylonian Talmud.

I'm not sure about him. I admire people who have the faith to believe in someone they have never met and possibly never will.
I just need to find my own proof before I believe. Its a personal thing.

I like Davi's answer. But when is the last time anyone has had coffee with God? Where does He live? What color is His hair? Does He wear shoes or walk barefoot? Black? White? Orange? TyeDye? No one is disputing that Jesus walked on the earth because that is not the question anymore.

His spirit is with me every time I pray
the evidence of miracles keeps me contiuing to pray
The fact that I'm alive thanks to Christ, and not dead as the professional doctors said; encourages me to keep praying till I get my answer from Him
And I've been part of a christian camp and seen with my own two I people not just get saved, but get filled with the Holy Spirit and begin speaking in toungs.
There's plenty of evidence for God;but becuase it's not the particular type of evidence scientist and others want, they choose to be nieve and foolish to the truth.

Well, allow me to ask you: How can you be so sure about Jesus when you have never met him?
I know him.

Read the Bible. In the New Testament, he's like water to a thirsty man. In the Old Testament, he's the promise held out to us.
