anybody been to both places and can make a good comparison?
i've asked this question a coupe of times, and in the end, the answers kind of balance out. i need a more decisive answer.
is new yorkers or LA people nicer? who is meaner?

i really can't give you an answer strictly by who is nicer, because i have experienced both places but the experiences were different
i went to LA and to me they drive like hell, or should i say like a bat out of hell. other then that i have not problem with LA. i only experienced LA drivers and one convenience store and they seem nice to me, they gave me directions to where i needed to go. i have not had any problems.
i was on vacation in NYC one year and the new i was a visitor because i was wearing a jacket in summer, had my camera out, eyes wide open so i could see everything possible. i asked questions about sites i was while on the bus and they answer me very politely. i walked around at night and not one bothered me and were very helpful when i asked for directions also.
i did not drive in NYC i used the taxi, subway (first time ever), and the city bus so i took in all the sights. i was really impressed with my cab driver, he has the traffic light timed so he could make a u turn in the middle of the road to get to the other side.
so i have to say i can't judge the people from either city as mean. as i said earlier, i experienced both places but the experience was different also. hope the gives an insight from my point of view

Angelenos are nicer by and massive. In Hollywood, there is this boastful, lack of self belief component occurring with people who prefer to be "stylish" and "unique," yet maximum folk outdoors of that are quite beneficial. New Yorkers are basically harsh and intensely disconnected from humanity. i've got chanced in this undesirable attractiveness to be grounded in certainty at virtually each and every turn.

LA people are nicer to your face but New yorker people are nicer behind your back.

I have lived in both places. New Yorkers are nicer.

I have visited both, was in NY for a week and LA for only 3 days. But from my expirence I think there are a lot more rude people in NY than LA.

New Yorkers are much nicer. People from California are pretty fake and say nasty things about everyone behind their back.

I think they just did a poll on this subject and New York was closer to the top of the list.

new yorkers are *******
native angelenos are cool as hell, although you wont find too many, most of the white people are rednecks from ohio, and the other people are from all over
