Romans 12:2: "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God ..."
In one way, you can take active participation in the renewing (transforming) of your mind; in another way, put aside all that you don't want and let Him fill your mind as you meditate on the Scriptures.
Yes, it might be a lofty goal to be "thinking nothing but pure, honest, noble, holy and Godly thoughts". We can have that as our goal .... Sanctification, but IMO we will only fully achieve it when we are in Heaven itself!

You're placing too much pressure on yourself. There is no effort in mind; we are deeply conditioned to believe everything must be done by "the sweat of the brow".
Replace the thoughts you do not want with their opposites. Thought is power, but not uncontrollable. You are in charge of your mind. It takes practice, but it can be done.
I never try to think only pure, honest, noble thoughts; this causes a sense of strain, and effort, as I said. When I have a thought I do not like, I say, "Let this pass from me; let it pass to my understanding that it never was." Then I replace it.
The transforming is actually just a realization that mind itself need not be transformed, for it is already whole, as created. The transforming is our awakening to the reality of our oneness with the Love that created us.

This can be done with deep meditation for about 30 minutes on a daily bases by bringing in to your mind pure and honest thoughts, well throwing out the negative ones, if you practise this you will start to think differently.

Try to surround yourself with positive people and positive energy. Horror films, negative people, even watching the news can all infuse your mind with negative imagery.
Everyone has whacked-out thoughts once in awhile. When you have an unpure thought don't worry about it. Just accept that it's your mind's way of working through issues and follow up with a positive thought so you end the thought process on a positive note.

First of all you'll have to renounce the materialist world i.e. parties, gala celebrations etc. Limit your friendship to a selected few. Spend more time in solitude than in gossiping around. Concentrate on your hobbies-whatever they are (Reading, writing, painting, photography etc etc). Contemplate deeply your concerns about life and death. Think of the less fortunate ones.
Give up your behaviour of "possessiveness" and "attachment"
All these and many other similar activities will lead you to a path of nobleness, holiness and peace.

Be no longer conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...simply put, first you have a spiritual birth then you see the truth and change the poison that was there when you were "of this world"

Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour and He will transform your mind. If your committment is genuine your thinking will change and will become more Christ like. You have to do your part and avoid the crud of the world.

Not possible while you are in human form and have a sin nature. The best we can do is, as the bible says, "take every thought captive to Christ". As long as we are in these fleshly bodies, we will have the thoughts you described. We don't, however, need to indulge them.

Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--meditate on such things.
