yeah, there is a good chance it will help (you need to give it a couple weeks though to get the full effect). you dont need huge dosages for it to work. and they usually start low and boast you up if they need to rather than starting you high and giving you a lot of excess drug

You start out low with these medications and work your way up. It can take several weeks for this drug to reach full effectiveness. The doctor wants to give you the minimum dose that will be effective, with the least side effects. So jumping in at a higher dose is a bad idea, you are more likely not to get the benefit of the drug an instead get ill.
DO NOT discontinue taking this drug abruptly, There are withdrawal symptoms.

Maybe he prescribed 10 to start and if that doesn't work, he will go up to 20. Ten actually works in some people and you should always take the lowest dose possible. Good luck.

that is the whole deal, some people do not need high doses, so if you fail to respond to a low dose over the next 2-4 weeks your doctor will go higher, but if you get better then this was the perfect dose, good luck

They start low for a reason. If it's not enough or it's making you all weird and not yourself in a very negative way say you need to get off of it. It's up to the doctor whether to up the dose stay where you are or lower it..

Dr.'s most time never start out on a high dosage. They start low and work up. Try the 10mg. and go from there. O.K.?

No it's not low...Docotor don't start you out on a high dose to see if it works. They tailor the meds to the patient. Your actually on tier 2 of the med so see how it goes
