I automatically provide what she needs. I feed her 3 meals a day. I take her to school. I help her with her homework. I provide her with clothing and shelter. She asks for many things all of which she don't need, most of which I provide anyway. She never asks for what she needs. They are all there.

No they do not have to ask and I will just provide. I think parent ought to give their best support to their children. Although if they do not want something that I think they needed, I will not provide unless they change their mind.

Ah the old trick question, trying to insinuate that God is not a good parent because he makes us ask for our needs...very tricky but it is a lie from hell, God doesn't make us ask for the things we NEED all of those he has provided abundantly!!!!! and he even allows us to have things that we want also.

I do provide all of their needs, and quite a few of their wants. They have never had to ask.

Sweet! I like it. I'm sure you will be told that kids shouldn't be spoiled, but I get what you're asking. I posted this in the past, I think it's relevant (loosely based on a true story):

Imagine that I, a doctor, am sitting in a rocking chair next to an exposed wire and watch a 6 year old kid walk up to the wire and just sit and watch as the kid sticks it in his mouth and half of his face melts. Then the parents run up to their child and try to make him comfortable. Then they look over to me, ask me to help, and I continue to rock in my chair. They get 200 friends to implore me to help, so I stand up from my chair. I operate on the kid and he is all better. Am I a benevolent being? or a megalomaniac?

Needed.....no that is given..... but, lessons in life are part of what they need also, some must be learned on their own.
