Because you are trying to find someone to fill the void of losing the first person you have really loved and it's hard to find someone that is like that.

Its hard for the heart is involved. Take time to heal then when you are truly ready you will open up to someone else. It takes time so please do not rush it. I know. It may feel like it will never end that the hurt will go on forever but it won't. As the days go by the hills and valleys will become smaller and smaller until you are not phased. Remember it takes time so do not be in a rush to find another to take their place. They cannot

I guess it's hard because it is a new feeling and when you fall in love for the first time you usually fall hard. I can tell you that it doesn't get any easier though. The next time you fall in love if you happen to get your heartbroken again it won't be any easier. LOL sorry to be so negative that is just my opinion.

Unfortunately it's hard to find a good man. It's actually hard to find a good partner in general I think that goes for men or women.

Because it is the first person you share a lot of stuff with.
They know and you know things they have never told anyone else.
I remember my first.
When we broke up, I was devastated.
But I learned that you just have to pick yourself back up and take a look at your options.

because it your first love and first love is always hard to get over. we all tend to compare what we had and think that nothing we find later can compare to the first even the first one is always is crack up to be. we tend to exaggerated when we fixed our mind

well, i've been wondering about dat question too... u noe wut, me myself haven't got over him... maybe im not a suitable person to tell u dis, but maybe, i know why dis happens... well, as u said before, "first luv"... and maybe we're not experienced enough to deal with this kind of thing... and maybe we love dat person so much dat it's really hard ro forget all about dat person... and u said it is hard to find someone juz as nice as dat person, right? well, u have to keep in ur mind dat everyone is not the same... maybe he's not as good as dat person in sumthin, but maybe he have sumthin dat ur ex could not offer... think about it...

Mariah Carey sings it perfectly in "don't forget about us" every time I hear that song it gets to me. You should listen to it carefully you will cry. its been 5 years since me and my first love split and this song brings it all back.
But it is your FIRST love that's why no one can compare to them.

believe me, i know how you feel. no one else can measure up to him/her and everything feels so wrong. you try to get over it but you can't. not immediately anyway.
