It sucks, and its a tough pill to swallow, but you need to check yourself into a rehab facility. Don't blame yourself, you didn't do anything wrong, you are the victim, you simply got addicted to something and it got out of control.
Think of how happy your family would be to see you take the initiative and check yourself into a rehab facility. They would be very supportive and have your back im sure.

Well at least your not a drunk. You just have to want it for yourself. No one can make that choice for you. I know my drinking had gotten to a point and I said I was going to quit a hundred times but I didn't. Its hard especially when your drinking with the boys. Or when your watching the game. Just about anything. You just have to be strong thats the most important thing. Knowing that your not weak and that your stronger than the thirst. Its tough bro. Your in for some hard times trust me. Especially when your around it. Don't ever give in when someone offers you a drink no matter how much s*** they talk. If you quit people will notice and you'll feel alot better in the long run trust me. I had been drinking heavy for about 2 1/2 years, but one day I had enough and just quit. It was tough but now I can go to parties and not drink and I feel good knowing that I could be someones DD. Cause I know that someone should have taken the keys from me alot of times and I just consider myself lucky. Good luck.

AA is one way to find support. My suggestion is take the percentage you have for being drunk and deduct it by 77%.
If your serious about wanting help, there are plenty of places near you that can give you assistance.

it's never to late to quit drinking you can phone alcahol annonomous, you will meet other people with the same addiction.
tell your family you are ready to get help,i'm sure they will give the support you need, you'll feel better for yourself.but you need to be sure your doin it because your ready to not because your family wants you to,or it will not pan out.
you should feel proud of yourself making that step saying you have a problem, now that 2nd step is going for help.
your doctor can give you all the info as well. stay strong ,it will get easier as time goes by.
all the best to you.

If you need help, why are you sitting at the computer doing dumb things like being on answers? Go get help. We can't help you.
I don't feel sorry for anyone with a drinking problem, drug problem, etc. You got yourself there for feeling sorry for yourself. You need to pick yourself up and make your life worthwhile.

Good on you that you want help. Understand first that you cannot do it by yourself, you need support and help. I suggest AA, you can get a sponsor who you can talk to during your struggle to overcome drinking. Good Luck!

The best way is to seek counseling - or joining Alcoholics Anonymous. (I know AA works. My uncle went through it, and it changed him for the good.)
Best of luck!

get a new family. they just don't understand you. instead of being pissed at you they should be helping you and making you feel supported rather than ashamed.
