It's harder than heck to get a best answer score when your busy just defending your faith against the kind of questions that try to ridecule it. The asker sure isn't going to give you a good score when you go against his question. (Wah wah--wine, cry, snivel)

I used to run at about 3% best answers until I started going to the other categories more...

I also noticed that some of the worst offenders of this category (meaning those who just put other down no matter what the question) are the ones with the highest points...

sometimes I think the highest ones are just point gaming between themselves in this section while they try to insult the Religious among us...

I stopped worrying about points some time ago when I finally made lvl 5 and could answer as many questions as I want in a day without getting that message "you have reached your limit for the day" just when I REALLY WANTED to answer someone!!l..

that was such a pain!! LOL!...

I also started skipping over the questions that seemed to me to be just insults disguised as questions and did not seem to be an honest search for knowledge or understanding...

You can't answer them all, so pick and choose the ones you think need the answer the most.

If you are looking for good points I would suggest another question of answer questions only in favor of Atheist or which ever religion you are for. Cause if a Christian ask a question and says they are looking for honest answers....no mater what they are going to go with the answers from their fellow Christians. Likewise other Christians are going to give thumbs down ratings to Atheist. It's a two way street!
I never expect my answer to get chosen in this section. However it haves been selected as the best answer more then once in this section. It just depends on which questions you answer. I defend my right to believe in what ever I want and my right to not have others push their religion on me. So many Christians don't like that so they rate my answer with a thumbs down.

I have actually had a couple of people that believed completely opposite what I believe give me a best answer. There are some on here that no matter how you answer a question and no matter how bad the other answers are , they are only going to pick an answer that is as snide and condescending as they- this shows the closed mindedness and immaturity that they often accuse others of. I myself would choose an answer that was in complete disagreement with my beliefs IF they answered the question to the best of their ability, leaving out poor attitudes, snide remarks and 3rd grade playground name calling. If they gave me something to think aobut in their answer, I may still not agree but I would choose it as best.

Who's keeping score? Don't worry about it. Every point of view needs to be heard, in my opinion. Truth has a power of its own; and no one has a lock on it. Most of the time it is many-faceted, and complex. And then, sometimes it astounds you with its child-like simplicity. God's is the only score that counts. And if you have an in with that one, you're way ahead of the game already.

Hoping the best for you...

I never expect to be chosen as best answer in R&S. The more informed and pointed the answer, the more likely it will get thumbed down and reviled. This is true regardless of the point of view (of the asker and answerer).

Want some cheese with that whine? If you just want the points then butt kiss a little, but if you want to be heard and defend your position....you'll have to get 'em 2 at a time. Sorry.

Atheists only get thumbs down, even if the answer was impeccable. In R&S section, I get my high off the thumbs up since best answer is so rare for an Atheist here.

points and getting best answer isn't that important to me.. actually defending my religion isn't that important either.. however the truth is more important than anything.

So true.
That's why I say what I truly believe.
Good question.
