When I was young school violence was pushing some guy into the girls room. Even fights were after school.

There was a rumor about the baldies from the Bronx going into Brooklyn schools. that was all it was, rumors.

God was allowed in our schools then. Can we assume that all of this is the result? what's your take?

Yes - when they took god out of the schools it just opened the door for the devil.
I am so glad I live in a vary small town and the school still lets the kids have god in school - the school even allows the kids to have a open prayer on school grounds before school-they call it meet me at the pole all the kids who want just meet at the flag pole and say a prayer
To be on the safe side the school does lock all class doors so any one can not just walk in a room and start shooting!!
Thank GOD for small schools and towns.

During the ten year stretch between 1991 and 2000, the year that had the least amount of school shootings was the year Columbine happened. My point is that just because it wasn't in the news doesn't mean it didn't happen. Violence has always been in our schools, even back when prayer was allowed.

No. The result in my opinion is law suit crazy parents. You can't even look at a child wrong without fear. If the children had some fear of punishiment in our schools, then they would think twice about getting into trouble or doing something stupid. There is no accountability for anything becuase nothing is going to happen.

NO it haves nothing to do with god allowed or not allowed in school. Times are changing and the older generation haves lost control when it comes to dealing with kids in schools. They tend to let their students run over them and do as they please. Some teachers do it out of fear.

You think its cause god is not allowed in schools anymore. However think about this, I'm sure not all people believed in god in your school so god had no control over them.
Likewise god is not suppose to be in schools but so many don't follow that rule. It was not that long ago when I was in school and they would make announcement when something bad would happen and say " Everyone please take a moment and bow your head and pray for so and so and for their family in this time of need." People gather around the flag pole in front of the school everyday and pray out loud. They still pray in school to most of them just do it quietly among their self. So god is still in schools and bad things still happen. Religious people claim god is out in the world outside of schools yet bad things still happen each and everyday. So that proves that it haves nothing to do with it.

I agree that violence is coming to our schools. we took the Bible and pray out of school and now we are reaping the fruit of that. it's not just our schools but everywhere. people shooting men holding their children. women killing their kids. when you see these things happening we are to look for Christ to come.

God isn't allowed in schools in Japan and they have 1/8th the murder rate per capita that we have. How do you explain that?

I believe that has a lot to do with it. God won't go where he isn't invited. sadly, he isn't in our schools anymore and slowly he is disappearing from the courthouse too.

I think that we should all pray while eating lunch. And pray before doing anything. We need to show that God is real and that He does matters to us and that we can have Jesus in our schools
