I agree with Angie, my sister has some crazy hair on her noggin and even sista's have trouble styling it. She uses CHI silk on wet hair, then flat irons (also CHI $170 worth every penny) it when it's dry. You can even give the ends a slight rounding for a more natural fall. I don't usually need to repeat the process until after I wash my hair. Then I like to use Tigi's Afterparty - smells like candy and makes your hair silky smooth and run through your fingers without snagging. Just use it from your earlobes down to avoid a greasy looking root sooner then necessary. I've never had another product work so amazingly - even when I'm in serious need of a trim.

A flat iron can work wonders, but a doobie is the best for healthy straight hair. Roller set on large magnetic rollers. Once you are truly dry, wrap hair, cover with saran wrap and go under the dryer until hair is thoroughly heated (15 - 30 min). Brush it out. You will have seriously straight, healthy and bouncy hair. I wish I could do it myself, but I just can't get that wrap done properly.

I would suggest a flat iron. Make sure you get the roots good. I used to use a pressing cream/oil by Dudley's. I also use to get press n' curls. Either way should give you that "realaxed" look. Make sure to keep the hair moisturized.

try going to a Domenican salon they straighten your hair so good it looks like a relaxer. They use a brush and a blower dryer.
