Parasites, the missing word in science, medicine and philosophy: Why ?

It appears that the world has become isolated from the dangerous world of 'parasites'.

From the parasites that cause ulcers, IBS, Crohns, perhaps even MS and Cancer, the medical world has turned a blind eye to this relatively simple cause for many illnesses.

In the world of philosophy, the term 'parasites' has been ignored as in corporate or welfare parasites, or as in the world of religion, homosexual and heterosexual pedofiles who prey on little children, parasites as in spouses who prey on their families, or children who prey on their parents, or lesbian feminists exploiting half-truths to divide the sexes and promote division.

Why is this term, 'parasites' being ignored ?

Well, you first problem is that you need to understand what a synonym is.

We don't use the word "parasite" in medical terms because we have a word that describes having a parasite in you. It's called " infection "

Second I don't think parasite was the word you were looking for in most of those scenarios. I think " predator " would have been more accurate.

As for the rest of it..You'll always fine some one exploiting something. so good luck with the crusade,
