If your version of "Heaven" involves mindless sex, drugs, violence, etc... will you ever get into heaven or will you go to hell and enjoy it?

This is a tough question to phrase... let me try again:

If Heaven is a place where there is no lust, addictions, hate, etc... would you rather go there, or to hell, which would be a place where rape and violence reign supreme?

ok, one more time:

is there room for earthly desires in heaven?

and please do not say that there is no heaven because that is not what I am asking.

Okay, I don't believe in heaven but I did ask a question similar to yours. I asked "Is there sex in heaven?" I liked one of the responses so much I chose it as a best answer. That response was:

"There is sex in heaven. There is sooooo much sex in heaven." Sweet.

But I appreciate your point. Without the earthly desires, what would be the big reward anyway? Getting to be a backstage groupie with God? Oh, and your categorization that "rape and violence reign supreme" in hell -- where did you pick up that little bit of wisdom? I thought it was all fire and brimstone. Somebody that enjoys rape (who would definitely belong in hell) would be having a good time. That flies in the face of the whole idea of hell in the first place. What, did God screw up? He didn't think that one through? LOL.

In addition, another "earthly desire" would be to be reacquainted with your departed loved ones. Now if that isn't wishful thinking, I don't know what is.

P.S. What really gets me is the answerers that purport to "know" what hell is like. And they speak from personal experience, is that it?

The Nature of Heaven .... consistent with the Nature of God ... Holy, Just, Righteous

Whether, as now, it is someplace "out there", or as it will be, "Heaven on earth", it will be a prepared place for a prepared people, where the saints (all those who have been "sinners, saved by Grace" spend eternity experiencing all that God has prepared for those who love Him. When He made the first creation, He made it all "very good"; just imagine how great will be the re-newed creation!! Think you will be bored? Well, you have all the solar systems of the Universe to explore!! The prophets of the Old Testament will lead the "Bible Studies", Jesus Himself may, even as He did with the disciples on the Emmaus Road, explain how all the Scriptures told of Him.

If, however, a person thinks it would be boring (no lust, addictions, hate, etc.) in Heaven ... what makes you think there will be the "72 virgins" waiting for them in the other place? Rather, "Hell" might be a place of their eternally felt lusts, addictions, hate, etc. which are never satisfied!!

I suppose you wanted my opinion? All right, heaven is not a place for earthly pleasures, the way I see it. Everything will be those things you enjoyed in life that didn't involve earthly possessions, the injured feelings of others, ruthlessness and cruelty, etc.

For example, say you have an unconditional friend, one who will stick with you though thick and thin. You can take that with you. You learn math and philosophy in this life, you can take that with you also. You marry, and she may be a part of your afterlife as well. Heaven is a state of everlasting happiness, not infinite pleasure. (Or heaven could be a place. To me, it will be both in the afterlife.)

In addition, the Lord Jesus Christ taught, "[L]ay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." (Matthew 6:20-21, KJV)

Hell, meanwhile, is eternal misery, and not something you can enjoy. Why should it be? you've had all earth life to do that. But I'll forgo that little discussion for now.

I've wondered about this myself.
I suppose that if we are blessed in such a way to actually go to heaven, we wouldn't enjoy lust, or rape or such things.
Desire is not a sin, unless it's desire for someone who is married with someone else but you.
Heaven is heaven. It's a place where you don't need lust to enjoy yourself. It's a question that's difficult to ask ,and difficult to answer.

Earthly (carnal) desires come from our Physical body which we are supposed to learn to control...

These desires are not Spiritual and thus will not exist in Heaven...

We will not need them in Heaven because there will be TRUE JOY there...

I would NEVER prefer to go to the tortures of Hell rather than go to Heaven!

In Heaven there Will be no sin and we won't want to sin! We will be with Jesus and will want to please Him and after the final war we will all return to earth to live and reign with Jesus! No one wants to go to Hell and those that don't accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior will go to hell! Hell is a place of burning fire! There will be NO pleasures or raping in Hell! You will be to busy screaming because of the pain to care about anything else! There is only one way to prevent from going to Hell and that is by accepting the gift of eternal life that God has offered! It is free and all we have to do is believe and ask and God will give you His gift of Eternal Life!

the Bible says that we will become as the angels, neither marrying or giving into marriage. the way that it sounds we will be no-sexual. there won't be a need for it.. since sex was created to populate the world. I don't believe that it will be an issue for anyone there. the main thing is to be in the presence of God. that will be all that matters.. I look forward to being with God and enjoying heaven.

I've often wondered the same thing. Now - I'm not up for your version of Hell - I'll pass on getting raped by the minions of Hell (c'mon, do you really think it'll be you doing the raping?), but the idea of sitting on the proverbial cloud, strumming a harp, sound's boring as... well, you know! I was also told that we won't know or want to know our family, that we'll be past all that. I can't imagine being happy not knowing my child, my husband, my family. I think this falls into the realm of that which "passes understanding." We'll know when/if we get there, I guess.

From your question is more like heaven on earth. That is what exactly where heaven is. Heaven and Hell is on earth nowhere else. This is what exactly is happening to us on earth right now.
Think again and visualise your question again and you will know what you are looking for in heaven or hell.
If you believe of life after death, then you will know weather heaven or hell ever exist.

Every Holy Desire you have will be Granted in Heaven.
In hell, you lose control of your Soul.
There is no Party down there.
The worse part will be Knowing that you did not have to End up there, and you Coulda been in Heaven.
