i have been a pet owner for most of my life, and when naming the new arrival, i have to be around the pet awhile, sometimes even several days before i find a name that suits them. you need to take into consideration the dogs personality, facial expressions, and other "little" things about them that bring out an idea for a good name. we have 2 beagles, buster and abbey; buster is a street wise "institutionalized" dog we rescued from a shelter, and he acts like a buster, a little rough around the edges; while abbey is more submissive and a cuddly dog, a little more refined. their names suit them perfectly. wait until you get your pup, is my advice, and a name will come to mind. best of luck with your new friend!!

....I don't know..but human names are fine. Some dog naming sites give silly names like Chew-chew.

We named our female beagle Ranger...which isn't very feminine.
I like simple, country names for beagles. Like Molly, Daisy, Annie, etc...But it's all up to you.
