It is difficult to transpose an incident from another time and another culture into modern day, as the points of reference are so different.
You need not put wife in quotes. She was his wife, under all the laws of the time and the country. In many parts of the world, a 12-year old is a woman in every sense of the word. And in many places today, 12 and 14 year olds still become wives. Including the USA.
In Mohammed's case, his wife would expect to have sex with him. That was what wives did. Whether she enjoyed it is another question altogether. But then, it is a question that could be posed today as well.

She was 8 and they are raised to do whatever their husbands want and feel it is the will of God. She would feel that she was unfaithful to God if she denied her husband his just do.
She would have felt it a priviledge to even be his wife because he was like God to them. If would be the same as if a girl was to marry Jesus. She would feel it was a priviledge.

Please go play with your toys. You have entirely too much time on your hands and obviously lack the maturity to converse with adults.
