Which kind of engineers (Civil, CHE, IE, etc.) are going to be the most likely to hate their jobs?

Well all jobs get to be routine after doing them awhile. I am a civl for 15 years, still like my field. Don't know who would hate it the most. Probally depends on the person.

None. You become a particular type of engineer because that's what you want to do.

That's the advantage of a college education; you get to choose to do something that you like.
