how how long ago did you get it put in? I bled for sometime after getting mine in. My doctor told me that, after i stop breastfeeding, I'd bleed off and on for a few months and then most likely stop having a period all together. You should be fine, as for tearing and all that jazz. You'd probably be in some pain, if that had happened. Infections really arent' that common unless you have multiple sex partnerts because then the std can travel up the strings that are hanging right out side your cervix.

Well, I do not have an IUD (although I am considering it because depo is making it impossible for me to lose the last 10 pregnancy pounds!!!). I have a seven month old daughter, and I got a depo shot before I left the hospital. Usually, you will bleed for 3-5 weeks after having a baby, but thanks to depo I bled for an extra month and half!!! I was so relieved when it finally stopped, and I haven't had a period since! My doctor said it happens and it's normal.
Now, maybe it was different for me because I'd just had a baby, but I would say give it another few weeks if your doctor doesn't think there's anything wrong and see if it stops. If not, depending on how much it bothers you, I would consider taking it out! Some birth controls aren't always great for some women!

Did you have it put in just after having a baby? And how long has it been in?

Mine was put in when my son was a month old, and I hadn't entirely quite bleeding from his birth yet. It (the bleeding) stopped by the time I went in for them to check it's placement, a week later.

I have had it in for 7 months now, and I haven't had a period yet. My dr says that I probably won't again, until the IUD is taken out. I don't know if it makes any difference, but mine is a Mirena.

you should be pregnant in the adventure that your IUD has slipped, examine the situation with sparkling hands - if section is out of your cervix you useful may be, if the strings are nevertheless there it is probably in place and nevertheless working. It does take place that they slip out of place or come out throughout your era. those motives are why I have been given mine bumped off, each and every time I exercised I had wreck by using bleeding and interior the sack it became an argument too.

Sounds like you need to find a new birthcontrol method. IUD's aren't a good method they can move, cause punctures, and infections. If you are still bleeding you could have a rupture or tear in the lining of the internal wall, this could lead to infection and possible surgery to remove the damaged tissue. Could lead to perment internal injuryand permanent sterility. Go get it removed before you suffer irreversable damages.

I seriously suggest you get that checked out as you shouldn't bleed anymore than 1 day or 2 more than usual if they put it in on your period. Either way, get it checked out. It doesn't sound right.
