Yes, I do. There is one answer that I gave that really sticks out in my mind. A poster asked a question about explaining salvation. I gave it my all- I genuinely thought that he was asking about salvation because God was speaking to him. Well, he choose his "best answer" (and it wasn't any of the answers given by Christians trying to help him understand). He just brushed us off as "brainwashed sheep". Oh well- I don't feel as though my words were wasted...I do think, though, that he was asking the question just so he could criticize Christians. But, like I said, I don't feel my words were wasted- maybe someone got something out of them.

I Agree. Most times I try to help. I've also been tricked, buy people I didn't recognize as joking. I was rude to some one yesterday who always badmouths Christians and someone called me one it. I felt bad and will try to be nice in the future.

Jimmy Hendrix was performing on stage and, after an excellent solo, he stopped playing and just let his guitar hang in front of him. He went silent and dropped his head.
A moment later, he said to the crowd something like, "If any of you knows real peace, visit with me backstage". Apparantly, no one went to him. He died shortly after. Imagine the influence that man could have had if someone had told him about Christ. But, more importantly, imagine the peace he could have found if someone had answered him.
Your point is more real and true than we care to realise and act on.

Sometimes I'm genuinely trying to be helpful in my answers. But often, it's just a silly question that doesn't really need a serious answer.

Absolutely, and I hope that some of my answers might have helped. I know there have been a few that have inspired me, and helped me to see something from a different perspective.

I like the real questions, where someone is looking for an answer.

I agree with you.
There are people here that post questions and don't want perspectives that differ from their own, they simply want to hear from people that think just like them and that is where it gets frustrating because they will just tell you off even when you are being kind.

You are right. I haven't thought about that enough. What are points compared with helping to change a life?

I totally agree!!! But some questions are so, outrageous that you can't help but be rude! But you are right, some of us need to take this more serious.
