You wouldn't be the first female to shave her head and most likely far from the last.

If this is what you really want, go for it! But it's quite a radical change going from waist-length to shaved bald. It's hard enough for a guy to get up the nerve to be shaved bald (took me a few months of contemplating), but even moreso for a woman/girl because of the social boundaries associated with hair. But if you're serious and you've got the support of some family and/or friends, then you should try it! It would be a good idea to insure that you've got the delicate, feminine facial features to pull it off plus a good shaped head, good skin tone, and no protruding facial parts like ears or nose. Good luck!

I don't think you should shave it. But put it in a ponytail or braid and cut it above the pony tail holder. Donate that hair to locks of love for children who have no hair.

if you are going to cut your hair and it is that long you should donate it. Locks of love makes wigs out of it for people with cancer. besides, guys like girls with long hair and i would guess not girls with shaved heads. if you want it shorter i suggest you cut a little off gradually so it's not such a shock!

If you want to trim it to shoulder length or something, that might
be fine, but do you really want to go bald? Think about it. Compromise, and donate the cut hair to a place that makes wigs for kids.

That's ridiculous. If you want to cut your hair, go to a professional and donate it to Locks of Love or a similar organization that will use it to make wigs for cancer patients.

Whatever your heart desires.

I wouldn't shave it all the way off, just give it a haircut but that's only because I love long hair.

NONONONONONO!!

If you're really serious about cutting it, you should look into "Locks of Love". If you have at least ten inches of hair, you can donate it to be made into a wig for a little girl or boy who has lost thier hair from chemotherapy.

I cannot imagine why you would want to do that!!! If you want to get rid of your hair, donate it. Look up www.msnbc.com and go to the Today Show. Ann Curry donated her hair and information about who to contact should be there. That would be such a wonderful thing for you to do with your hair.

Please do, go ahead....let me know how you feel afterwards. I have long hair way down down down and have been thinking of cutting it to my shoulders, not like you, shaving it off? Tie it in a ponytail, cut it and save it to donate it. Yes, donate it, do not put it in the trash or save it for yourself. Check where you can donate to.
