If We are Evolving, Then Why are People Behaving Like Animals On this Site?

Sincerely, if we as a people are evolving, then wouldn't that include every aspect of our existence?

If we are evolving, then why is it that we don't seem to be learning from our mistakes? Every generation brings with it a new Hitler, a new Manson, a new set of values, which amount to more filth, more horror, more debt, more divorce, more crime and more of just about everything that used to be considered, in decades past, sinful and nothing but evidence of corruption, decay, dying and death.

It is fascinating to me that those who believe in evolution consider this an evolving planet of evolving people? Makes no sense! None whatsoever! We are evolving alright, into pure and total collapse!

Oh dear! ::Rolls eyes:: I knew I should have used a different word than "animals" .

I do not believe we are animals. God said, "LET US MAKE "MAN" IN OUR IMAGE.

He did not say, "Let us make this particular animal in our image."

He made animals and insects on a totally different day than the day he made "MAN".

Who says we're evolving???
Called the Military Commissions Act of 2006, the bill abandons the Geneva Convention (formed after Hitler's atrocities in WWII), legalizes the torture of U.S. citizens, suspends all civil rights for prisoners and allows the President to declare virtually anyone to be an "enemy combatant" -- artists, writers, scientists, protestors or anyone who does not agree with the pro-war stance of the current regime.

It would also retroactively grant blanket immunity to all U.S. military personnel who have committed war crimes under the Geneva Convention. Such immunity would extend to present and future war crimes as well. In other words, the United States will now officially harbor and support war criminals. In the context of international law, the United States is effectively declaring itself to be a criminal state that will respect no international law.

Just as frighteningly, the new Act would utterly nullify the courts and make it illegal for the judicial branch of government to interfere with the imprisonment and torture of anyone, thus affecting a dangerous power shift from the judicial branch of government to the executive branch.

Hitler followed the same strategy in centralizing his own power, and by nullifying the courts while taking over the media, he was able to propagandize his war, arrest all dissenters, and concentrate power in his own hands. The ultimate result was an unjust war and a humanitarian disaster that haunts the world to this day.

The United States is now firmly on the same path. These are dark times for our nation, and future historians will no doubt look upon this historic vote as the trigger that thrust the United States into a full-fledged police state, complete with secret arrests, government spying on citizens, and the mysterious "disappearance" of those who dared to speak out against the dictator.

What source says that humans are evolving? Most discource I have heard on the subject says that is not true, that humans have stopped evolving in the last century. Survival of the fittest is what causes both evolution as well more death, and struggle between people. Just look at how it works in the wild, the bigger stronger animals kill the weaker ones and pass on there genes. This no longer happens in some human society because we put so much effort into protecting the weak. I am not condoning either view point as to whether this is right or wrong, but I'm just saying that this has slowed down human evolution from a biological stand point.

Life is made up of many different tastes ... sweet, salty, spicy. bitter. If we did not have a bitter taste how will we ever know sweetness? Life and Living comes as a package. Let us take it as it comes.

If we look deeply, those earlier time value systems HAVE NOT changed at all. Love , hate, steal, empathise.... you name them . They are all still the standards. some will stray out of the boundaries . Remember the earth is getting crowded. Life expectancy has gone up very high.. Like many animals which have become "endangered ' species, the Humans too, those with value systems have become endangered species, amonsgt the billion others. But it will be protected .

So very true. The total depravity of sin does seem to get worse every decade. If you look closely to bible stories back in the day of Sodom and Gomorrah though, much of the same sickness was going on. With the global telecommunications, I think we are just more informed of what goes on then in years past. Either way it does feel pretty bad, and so very sad.

I do thank God for free will though. I am glad we can think and choose--unlike animals, including monkeys.

for one we are animals we just enjoy thinking of ourselves as something much more higher and important and many animals have evolved for the worse..whose to say we are not one of those animals, usually when someone believes in evolution they grasp the reality that not everything is peachy keen and we as humans are very flawed. We are evolving, some people have actually built up a resistance to the HIV virus. If that isn't evolution then I don't know what is...
