Your hair and skin have diffrent pH levels as well as soap and shampoo. Use shampoo on your hair and soap on skin or else soap will dry out your hair.

Don't use soap it's drying to your scalp and hair.

You can get shampoo travel sizes at any store, they are only about 69cents up to about a dollar.

Also if its really a money wasting thing, go to walmart.com, click on free samples, 9 times out of ten there will be an offer for shampoo, wait about 2 tp 4 weeks and there ya go. No money spent and a travel size bottle of shampoo, which for you will probably last a good month or so.

If you really just want to use one product I would suggest getting a body wash, not a bar soap. Many body washes can double as shampoo and will say so right on the bottle.

Also never use dish washing liquid on your hair, its more drying than soap, look at what it does to greasy grimmy dishes.

Soap is made differently than shampoo. Ivory soap uses an old formula which will leave residue on your hair and make it less than attractive.
If you really insist on being cheap and not use shampoo, liquid dish detergent, a mild one that is mostly glycerine or sodium laurel (or laureth) sulfate.
Soap lacks the detergent that shampoo has, it also has oils and other additives you don't want in a shampoo.
Try Suave or Walmart brand shampoo, it's cheap and since you have so little hair, it will last a long time. Your hair will thank you for it.

I tried soap instead of shampoo and found that soap dried out my hair and scalp way more than shampoo. It strips all the natural oils from your hair and leaves it hard to comb when it grows out. Your hair feels pretty good when it's dry through and is really shiny. If you do go with soap, use a good conditioner every other day so you can at least moisturize your scalp. Health food stores sell good soap that is gentler on your scalp. My husband also uses soap on his hair when we travel and he likes how it cleans. If anything his hair is softer once it is dry.

I'm a woman with fine, thin hair. I have used a "shampoo bar" from a health food store (which is basically soap) and it actually rinses cleanly and easily, and leaves the hair with some body, which is nice for a change. Unfortunately, it can start to form a sticky film on your hair if you continue to use it.

My advice would be to use body wash or dishwashing liquid, whichever you have on hand. These contain detergents that are closer to the ones used in a traditional shampoo and will work better on hair without leaving the build-up.

It won't damage your hair (since you have so little) but I would stop using Ivory soap, their claim is that it's the purest soap out there but in reality it dries your skin out way more than other soap products.

And honestly, since you have such little hair why not just invest in a cheap bottle of shampoo and conditioner in one? It'd last you a good amount of time and you wouldn't have to worry about the soap drying out your scalp.

I love caress and dove.

You're not going to be wasting money on shampoo... if your hair is really short all you need is a pea sized amount, and it's better for your hair and scalp than soap. Soap overly dries out skin and hair... you can try it and see how it goes, but I don't recommend it. You could also use shower gel... but that's going to be about the same price as shampoo.

ok hears the deal..... as quickly as you have chemically straightened your hair you may no longer get it back to curly back until eventually you perm it back. making use of a straightening product is an eternal component, it truly is the reason while you're to do something like which you will think of it by using. Dish cleansing soap isn't something you prefer to put in your hair dish cleansing soap is meant for dishes so pass away that decrease than your kitchen sink. in case you decide on your curls back I recommend you get it permed back or basically permit it the on the instant aspects improve out, in case you have short hair it won't take long anyhow.

nope! dont use soap,!!! even ivory is a little bit mild it can damage your hair !!! if your bothered just take shampoo every other day!!for extra care mix it with water until it puffs of bubbles or you can even put/extract the sticky paste of aloevera during bath time two times a week so it can stop baldness, and of course you should rinse off shampoo thoroughly to prevent baldness!! avoid using shampoos w/ ingridient of "SLS" Sodium Laureth sulfATE AND NOW cauld ASL Ammonium Laureth Sulfate, consult your dermatologist/doctor for immediate theaphy before you completely lose your hair!

That is a HUGE Major mistake I would NOT use regular soap on any hair tust me. Sweetie just buy shampoo from the dollar store! It's like a dollar or less, even like 69 centss. There's your solution! Stay happy!
