do you remember an injury? did the pain start after wearing new shoes? it could be several different things going on. you may need wider shoes, could be callus, stress fracture...i have a great website for you to try out, myfootshop.com. it offers several articles on foot conditions, shoe fitting, discussion forum with a doc. check it out i think you'll find it helpful. use the source as a direct link to site and good luck!

If it's on your big toe it could be a callous. This happens from continual rubbing of your shoes on your feet when you walk. Try wider width shoes!

I think you should see a foot doctor.

A podiatrist could evaluate it for you and give you treatment options. That advice might be wider shoes, but there may be other treatment options.

Wear another brand of shoe...or insert or whatever you bought, change it.
