That sort of honor is supposed to be given after someone has died.
Is G.W.B. trying to tell us something or is it just one more gaucherie?

I think it's terribly tacky.
My dad is a retired Navy man, has been on a couple of air craft carriers, he thinks it tacky.

I think the ship should have carried on one of the names of the Pearl Harbor sunken fleet to honor the more respected.
To name a new ship after a complete idiot who needs chlorine added to his gene pool is disgraceful to our American heritage.

I do not ride airplanes and I did not vote for either of them, so I could care less. Father and son could dress up in monkey suits and jump in a cardboard box and call it the ss minnow, and I still would not care.

Hillary Clinton sat on the Board at Wal Mart then her husband signed that deal. i understand, data are stressful to swallow. it quite is extra important to hearken to what they say and overlook approximately each and every of the wealth they have geared up.

George isn't tacky. Aircraft carriers aren't tacky. We all die. Names are not important to inanimate objects. I call my car Betsy. So what. That ain't tacky. You questioning tackiness is as tacky as the clothes you are wearing.

It seems fine to me. George HW Bush was a navy pilot. And, he was a President. The honor does no good if the person being honored is dead. Once you are dead, you tend not to care about stuff like that (or so I surmise). :)

BTW, most people consider me a liberal. ;p
