I am momentarily suffering the worst torture known to man. An annoying 4 year old friend of my son's. Please, share any inspirational words you know of. I am thinking about gouging out my own eardrums just so I don't have to hear him. My own kids are NEVER this terrible. Where is God now? I only agreed to watch him for an hour, and 20 minutes into this, I'm having to meditate.

"One cannot justify unjust anger;
Anger plunges a man to his downfall.
A patient man need stand firm but for a time,
and then contentment comes back to him".

Book of Sirach,(Ecclesticus), New American Bible,

Also, my wife has taught middle school kids for 43 years. I often ask her how she can deal with them...the ones I tend to think as incorrigible/horrible. She tells me that the worse acting, most unlovable ones are the ones who need her the most. Maybe your friend's child needs someone special. Try to be that one for the child's sake. God loves you.

Two words: Buzz Lightyear. I don't know a four-year-old boy who doesn't have a vhs or dvd. If he by chance doesnt', try Spiderman or something equally boyish.

For it is better, if the will of God be so, that you suffer for well. doing than for evil doing . Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt you in due time. Casting all your cares to HIM for HE cares for you.
