My daughter (now 9) went trough the same issue when she was about 5 .

This is a very common phase amongst kids but trust me she will grow out of it

I don't know how old she is but it could be that she's at the age where she is proprietary over each of you individually and when you hug each other or otherwise touch each other, she's aware on some level that you're not touching her.

Here's what you do: Keep touching, hugging, kissing. Don't make a big deal over her feelings on the subject otherwise she'll learn that it's a way to yank your chain. She throws a fit=you fix what made her throw a fit. That's exciting to a young one!

Over time, she may grow to blush when she sees it (7-10 yrs) and roll her eyes when she sees it (any time past that) and smile when she sees it (adulthood) but the legacy your loving tactile communication will leave her is one of knowing her parents loved each other and, further, that she can expect to be loved in this fashion when she selects a spouse. Not a bad thing to set your child up for, is it?

Hang in there. Like most things in childhood, this is but a blip on the radar, if a nasty one. It'll stop but YOU shouldn't stop.

My little kids do the same thing...2 and 3 yr olds...they even go so far as to try and pry Daddy away...It's like they think Daddy is hurting mama or something..or maybe they just don't wanna share mommy with anyone else.

hah i remember when i was like that. i use to get so pissed when they would have private time or touch eachother or kiss. its a kid thing. I always thought my mom didnt love me anymore, haha. But i was only like 9 or 10. she'll get over it, when she's like..15 lol. just dont give in to her by stop touching eachother. or make it a family thing, when you're hugging ur husband and she gets jealous, ask her to come over and hug her too. that always made me feel better. :)

Is she a baby? Don't let her dictate the affection you are allowed to share! If you start now, she will take over your ENTIRE lives. She will become the biggest brat on the block and NO ONE will enjoy her company. Touch each other as much as you wish! Maybe she's jealous?? Give her lots of love too!

Jealousy? Fear? Is it the baby in the picture? My kids used to cry when we tickled.....I think it scared thm.

Just assure he she is loved, but you and Daddy love each other too. They say this is very good for kids to see.

She could be jealous. She may be daddy's little girl and just wants all the attention for herself.

Her age is a critical missing consideration.

My girlfriend says that she wants the attention for herself.
