my boyfriend has come over my house before but i go to his house more often becasue we get more privacy and can do more :) but my dad is very protective as a lot of dads are so its hard to really do that much when hes at my house. i just wanted to know what else we could do (not sexual) besides watch tv because that gets boring.

The whole idea behind dating is to get to know each other, so you could. . . . . . . . . . .

Have a conversation about what is going on in the world, play a game of cards, go for a walk, cook something together, bake a cake, play scrabble or monopoly, talk about what kind of books you like, (okay, so I'm a grandma, I'm just thinking of how we got to know each other in the old days!)

The point is, that all these activities help people to get to know each other. This boyfriend just might be the man of your dreams, but you'll never know if all you do is watch TV with him.

Get off the couch and talk or do some activity together!

When I was 31 I had to move back in with my parents because of my divorce. My boyfriend would come over sometimes, and of course, we couldn't do anything with my parents around and kids sleeping upstairs. We used to play Scrabble. It got almost like foreplay with the drawn out sexual tension. Other games will probably work as well... cards, backgammon, whatever. Doing a puzzle together. The problem with TV is that it's not interactive... the whole point is to be doing SOMETHING with your boyfriend, even if it's not exactly what you want to be doing.

You two could play board games, go for a walk, go for a bike ride, play on your computer, or even just talk about what you're gonna do at his house next time. The built up anticipation makes everything better! ;)
