Actually it's your nervous system that needs a break every 5 to 6 weeks of training. The Nervous system tells your muscle to slow down and since your nervous system can't talk. And the only way It could signal to you that you need to slow down. That's right Pain. Being sore and being in pain it is totally different response to exercise. The next signal would body will send you will spasms and trust me you don't want to find out what the next signal will be. I suggest some time off maybe some light stretching than slowly work your way back. If you are already in good health and shape you shouldn't need to work out more than 4 days a week. You may want do some sports related activity to keep it fresh. Good luck!

A good soaking in tub of hot water Will help, and a mas-sager you can buy which will allow you to do the massaging yourself.
