For about the last week or so, my chest has been feeling tight, when I breathe i struggle to do it deeply, I am completely fit and healthy, have never had any real health problems and I am not allergic to anything. I have been feeling really tired recently and I am wondering if anyone knows what could be wrong? I am planning on visiting the doctor on Monday, but until then does anyone have any suggestions?

It could still be allergies....Try drinking hot coffee or hot tea, it tends to open up the airways..

You've already done the best thing you could possibly do. Most chances you're suffering from an anxiety attack but when dealing with that type of symptom it could be much more life threatening, your heart, run, don't walk to you nearest doctor! Young and healthy people get heart problems too!

Does it hurt when you lean over? If so, you may have pleurisy. It's just an infection to the lining of the lungs. It hurts to take a deep breath, and it makes you think something is really wrong. However, it is easily curable, and pretty common. I've had it a few times. No harm, no foul.

There are a miraid of what it could be'e's.

Cautions: if you experiance naseau and numbness pain or tingling in the arms or legs...go to the ER right away.

I would need to more about the subtle syptoms but it may be a pleural tear or irritation.

it could be a repiratory issue...ie exercised induced asmatic symptoms.

it could be a cold,

and i could go on and on...

my suggestion..keep family or friends around..take it easy and no exertion

going to the doctor is the best thing but my best guess is that you are having panic attacks and might be a little depressed. the doctor will know for sure. have you been upset by anything? it could be the cause and the doctor might give you something for your nerves until things are a little calmer.

Maybe you have a chest infection?

Take a hot bath and breathe in the steam. That should help

Hope you feel better
