I was wondering when would be a good time to ask a girl to the prom, you know, where its not to soon, but also before somebody else does.

i don't even know when prom is! but i think you should get a girlfriend, and if you can't by 3 weeks before the prom, then ask whoever's still available. oh, and someone you like. don't forget that.

A month lead-time sounds good---lots of stuff needs to be shopped for, decided on, for a real "Prom". Best though, if you are dating someone long before this, or at least you are good friends, study-buddies, something. Just a prom-date "cold" with no preliminary time, dates, phone-visiting, anything, is doomed to failure.

No, seriously...if you don't know who to ask now, it means you don't have a girlfriend now. So work on getting a girlfriend. At least date a few gals, just for kicks, nothing else, and whichever of those you think you'd have the best time with, ask them.
