If we think for ourselves then we are in control. God wants us to be in control of ourselves, not out of control.
It doesn't matter where we live, the culture we grew up in taught us "how to think" about things and how and what to see and not see.
That is why the Bible talks about coming out of this world. Then you will see how much we really do not think for ourselves at all, even though we think we do think for ourselves.
What I see people doing, and I'm not innocent here either, is selling themselves out. To what?
To lavish vehicles, brand name clothing, play station, computers, porn, gambling, drinking, to ideas, style, sex, drugs, plastic surgery, addictions of all kinds, conspicuous consumption.
and the list goes on forever...................................
Thinking for ourselves implies awareness and self control and not being lead by any authority we are "taught" to put our trust in from the day we are born.
Sure, science is an authority, but it can not explain how our genes work "together" to make a human being, it is not all knowing.
We put our trust in Doctors and medicine, but do more research and you'll see all the drugs that have left people disabled or dead from putting complete trust in a doctor to know all the side effects and risk, and long term complications.
Like I always say, follow the money to its source and you'll get to know the authorities that shape our culture and therefore our thinking.
I became a Christian and I have never felt more free to think for myself. I found that God has the answers if you listen and prey and read the Bible for yourself.
P.S......as for your symbol, I hope you didn't sell yourself out. Satan is not enlightened, he fell remember, so he is obsessed with getting you to fall too, then he'll use you up and throw you away. No sin is more powerful then God, so there isn't anything he can't forgive, if you start thinking for yourself.
God Bless you

It is impossible if you like to think and far more so if you like to think for yourself, for Christianity is a belief of the head that does not include having a mind and less about having a heart.

The millions of adults who convert to the Christian faith (over a million to the Catholic Church alone during the past year) do so after much personal thought. Why should you be any different?

I don't see any evidence that you do yhink for yourself. You sound very much like most other idiots.
So first, prove that your initial statement is true. Then move on to the question.
