Labels constrict and hurt. The world is filled with insanity because every single person with a background has more than several sub-cultures to contend with. Feelings are under those sub-cultures, relgiious or otherwise. Real life moves fast these days; people hardly make sure what they are hearing, listening, or check reality. They are on 'knee-jerk' reaction, even after they've rested from the stress of fast living!
If everyone slows down their brains, they may think with consideration, notwithstanding all the grind of daily insanity we are exposed to. Majority may not be right, but that doesn't mean the minority isolate themselves and use underhanded means to change the world. If we hold general statements about the world and people, we'll never get past being supeficial in our friendships with people.
Beyond that, I'm against all violence against humanity, man killing man. I cannot explain why God (by any name) does that to whole peoples but I suspect it has something to do with our human failings in the first place. Violence against another human being is a violation of all basic human rights, Christian or Islamic. "Love" isn't easily defined. Some people think punishment at all times is 'love' or discipline.
Where is the line to being a 'fundamental'(some basics of anything is necessary), or a 'conservative' (if not eating meat on a certain day suits you, fine, otherwise, just do what you need to do without condemning others of what they eat), or a 'liberal' (if you think having several sex partners will not cost you grave consequences later, you are mistaken), or a 'charismatic' (do these people ever 'think' or are they just 'feeling' all the time, quite dangerous to trust the feeling part of ourselves all the time)?
Don't 'should' me or call me a label, I just 'evolve'... one question at a time pls....
I hope this helps!

It isn't just you that thinks that way. However, even majority opinions (if this is the consensus) can still be wrong.
You think fundamentalists are insane because you believe them "wrong", correct?
Where you are wrong in you opinions (on any topic), does that make you insane? Does the shoe fit?

Considering that Im working on a Master's in psychology, there does seem to be indications of a psychotic disorder. This is just a general statement, and there are many diagnoses in the DSM that could apply.

i think most people screw really bad when they're trying to do the right thing. you have to keep your mind open to see if you're hurting people while trying to help them, you have to stay open to the possibility that you may be wrong. fundamentalists, of any creed/political faction, don't admit this possibility.

Quite possibly a great deal of them are. I hope no one tries to find me.....but everyone has a right to their own beliefs, and I shouldn't dis anyone for them, just upsets me when they try to make everyone else live/believe the same thing they do, or think they have the right to kill someone for believing something else.

They're completely amoral and completely out of touch with reality, so if that fits the definition of 'insane' then you're probably right...

They're not if you believe in a sky daddy and an old book about big whales, talking snakes, and things of that nature.

Neither are insane, although you're both certainly challenged in your social skills.
