Just know it is not like walking a dog. The cat will definitely walk you. You need to use a halter with a cat and attach a leash to it. Cat necks are infinitely more fragile than a dog's so you can't control her safely with just a collar and leash.

Have her wear the halter inside the house until she gets used to it and moves around freely while wearing it. Be there when she has it on as it might catch on something in the house and she could injure herself if she panics.

Take her out in an area where there is not a lot of traffic or any strange dogs. You need to wrap the leash securely around your wrist, if she bolts you can't have her dashing off with a leash trailing.

If I have done this with three cats and it's fun. Of course she will want to go out a lot so be prepared to spend time doing it.

I dont see anything wrong with it. I take my cat outside sometimes, and she's an outdoor cat. Use a halter collar because they work better and they don't hurt the cat as much. Try not to let her eat a lot of grass. A little is good for their digestive tracks I think, but a lot can make them sick. Stay with her and don't let her off the leash and you should be fine. Also, look into installing a screen door on one of the doors going outside. My cat loooves to sit at the screen door all day watching squirrels. It's almost as good as being outside.

It's perfectly fine as long as there aren't stray dogs and cats hanging around. Also check for chemicals/broken glass and anything else she might injure herself on. Don't use a leash w/ a collar as she may strangle herself if she gets startled. Use a leash with a harness. If you have the money, they have all sorts of things nowadays for cats to be able to go outside safely. They have pet strollers, enclosed pet play tents etc. Check out petsmart and petco for those types of things.

You have to get a harness for her (as cats can slip out of a collar) but now is the best time to get them leash trained.

Some cats really like it. Our family has leashed cats for generations. (Romani culture finds it normal.)

Sure. My neighbour takes his cat out all the time on a leash and he loves it.

I think it would be fine as long as she was on a harness instead of a leash. She should be fine since, like you said, she does have all her shots and is spayed.

If you want to take something out on a leash, get a dog. Cats don't care which way you tug on the leash. They do as they please.

I see no reason why its not okay to take your kitten out. The only problem I can see is that she may want to go out whenever you open the door and she may escape.

Yes......you might want a harness instead of a collar. It is better! Cats love to go outside.
