I am sorry but that means that he likes you but actually does not want to leave his girlfriend for you and is probably going to juggle you 2 girls. You will kind of be the private girlfriend and his other girlfriend will be his social girlfriend if I were you I would stay away you may think I am crazy but I have a little experience.

He is controlling when it comes to women, and this is not a good sign! He may not be able to relate to women as persons, or have an intense fear/hatred of women because of bad experiences with women in his family.

It has to do with his public reputation. Many guys don't want to be seen as soft or wimpy, so when they're with friends they pretend to not be interested. Try not to take it personally.

to fix it just talk to him SERIOUSLY. be like "why are you such a jerk around them... i hate you like this. i like it much better when your nice to me, you can be such a sweetie!!"
