I have 2 toddlers 16m and 28m they are identical even though they are not twins and one is a girl and 1 is a boy. everywhere we go people always ask if they are twins, and not just beacuse they are so close in age but they are identical!!!!!! Has anyone experienced this? I also find myself treating them as twins like I dress them the same except blue/pink colours and for haloween they are gonna bamm bamm and pebbles

aww my moms friend has a 3 and 2 year old girls that look exactly alike she does the same thing

I have a 6 year old boy and a 3 year old boy too. Everyone thinks they are twins. They have 2 diffrent dad's. My 3 year old is a big. But I always say that they aren't twins. They are 3 years apart. Just be happy that they look alike.

Sounds like your two came from a good gene pool. It may be cute to dress them alike, but for their sake DON'T!!! Let their own personalities dictate their styles. I learned this lesson after interviewing 13 sets of twins and parents of twins to prepare a booklet for my youngest sister who has identical twin girls who will be 3 in December. They may be identical in appearance but their personalities are different and should be encouraged.

My problem is that I have twins who are less than 1 lb apart and people ask me all the time "Are they twins?" They don't look alike but they don't look like they could be at least 10 months apart!

I actually have twins, boy and girl, and they look nothing alke. My son looks like my youngest daughter and most people confuse them as twins.

my kids are the same way they are exactly 16 months to the day. when they get a little older they will grow into their own looks. the genes in your family are strong/

my brother and i were just like that we got asked that alot. now my 2 daughters are 15 months apart and i'm sure i will get asked it when they are older.

Obviously they are NOT identical if one is male and one is female.
