Think about it, a 21 YO dating a 16 YO. If this 21 YO is a male, then I would look at him as a preditor, because there is a five year difference. Who knows how many teens between the age of 13 and 17, he's been looking to meet.
You would have to ask yourself, do I feel lucky or why can't he get someone who is between the age of 20 and 25.
I feel when guys in there 20's are looking to date female teens (14 to 17yrs old), it is a sign that they are preditors, and has been for sometime, it just that they think its nothing and no one will see it as something bad.
The man is looking to fulfill his fantasy with you and it not possible for him to fall in love with you because, he's experienced things to which you more than likely only heard about, while talking with friends.
At 16, you should be in the 11th grade and he should be in his jounior year of college.
What could you possiblly have in common with this guy. He knows he got you beat hands down. He knows what your gonna say, before you say it.
He wants an EASY toy. (Thats you)
A TOY that wont complain. (Thats you)
A TOY that always says yes. (Thats you)
A TOY that wont question his whereabouts. (Thats you)
You are easy pray for him and he's loving it and not many of his friends know about you.
Actually, you are his little secret, until he's all done.
As for you, you probably think that because you have an older boy friend, its cool and the other girls are jelous, well the other girls are not jelous, they are thinking other wise of you. That other wise is something you don't want to know, because it not good.

Its not weird for a 21 yr old to like a 16 yr old. Attraction is attraction. BUT is it right for you to take it to the next level. Meaning to start dating her and doing things to her that you would do to someone your own age. I am 23. When I was 15 I was totally clueless and I was dating a guy who was 19 and after awhile I dumped him because he was too much for me. He wanted to do it and I just wasnt ready to go that far. But the years that you have different are something else. You are in a stage in your life that you are probably in college and she maybe still playing with dolls at home. I really didnt mature until I was around nineteen and had experiences living away from home. I think she is too young for you. She is still probably worrying about HS stuff. Petty things like prom and what she should wear for homecoming.

Yes, the age gap is kind of big (not too big though)...but I don't know if I would say it's weird. Things like that happen all of the time, it's very common.
But you're right, you need to wait until after they're 18 to get into anything serious with them. Statutory rape=jail time and a lifetime on the "Sex Offenders" List

This is a big age gap at this point in life. 5 years would be different at a different stage in life. (For example: 30/35).
I would recommend that you don't try to date this person. You are either in college or the working world, and a 16 year old is in the world of high school cliques, popularity, homecoming queens, etc.......
While it is not weird for you to have feelings, I would avoid acting on them, because I just don't think the relationship would have a good chance.

Depends where you are e.g in the UK its legal, in the US its not (i think). Age gap will seem weird until she is 18 so it could be in ur best interests to wait..

No its not. But to be on the safe side of the law, wait until they're 18 before getting serious.

it depends if the 16 year old acts like a baby or an adult ( example: goes to school and has a full time job to have a roof over her head...)
