how i do pass most of my files and folders including music from my desktop to my new laptop?

Dell inspiron desktop to a laptop dell 640 m. thanks

Thumb Drive is easiest.

Two easiest ways:

1 - set up a network with files sharing, or
2 - use a USB flash drive

Run the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard to collect the files and settings, and use one of the above methods for moving the data file to the laptop.

back it up onto a floppy or disc, then just upload it to the laptop.
