Milan has many more job opportunities but life here is quite stressfull. The climate is colder and more humid, the people are a little more introverse. Rome has great climate, great history, a great atmosphere to live in, but finding a job is harder, unless you know someone........even then you probably have to stand working on temporary contracts for a long time before finding a "real" job... So, there, the choice is up to you! good luck!

First of all, they speak Italian in Milan -- it's in Italy. I would guess that there are more business jobs in Milan, it's really the business capital -- Rome is more a Religious, governmental and Tourist site. In general Northern Italy is more prosperous than the southern part. I love Rome as a vacation/holiday place.

Among the places most popular of Milano is the Piazza del Duomo wherever Napoleon was crowned (actually, he crowned himself) within the Duomo. You will never find a job in italy. (I am 100% sure, if you like you can go and see for yourself Seriously)

Italy is one of the worse places in europe when it comes to unemployment. Very very bad. I have lived there.

Before you could get a job in Milan, but now even in milan there is a great increase of unemployment. And besides italians will not offer any jobs to strangers (worse of it all they hate eastern europeans, arabs, africans and colored people from latin aor central america). They will consider giving jobs to italians first. Thats how it works there.

Not trying to be offensive on the point but if you dont believe me give it a try. The country has a lot of beautiful things to see, but the people are not like the country.
