Blood color is not a good marker of health, because it is quickly exposed to atmospheric oxygen which makes it bright red anyway. Unless you draw it properly with a needle...
...the best markers of health are the actual blood chemistry tests (cholesterol (LDL, HDL, VLDL), triglycerides, CRP (C-reactive protein), etc.).

It depends on the amount, if it is a little blood then it would be bright and if it is a lot then it is going to be dark.

It's actually blue. When blood comes in contact with the air it turns red. That is why our veins are blue.

If you have a cut ..it is red. If it is drawn from your artery ..like from your arm and straight into a glass tube for medical tests it can look red/blue or almost purple/red. Good Luck! :)
