Our aim in life should be to live as Christ like as possible and hopefully others will follow your lead. Life is a battle between good and evil. You have to choose what side you want to be on for eternity. Good or evil. You must show that you have the ability to live by the spirit and not just flesh . You can't take your car, house, or money with you . You must not live by bread alone ,but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

People do think that the aim in life is money,power,fame but these things are not eternal as you have mentioned. These things doesn't bring the infinite joy. For infinite happiness, you have to know yourself. It sounds a bit philosophic but it is the truth. Once you start walking on that path, you will find eternal peace and happiness, it will never go away.

EVERYTHING goes away and we have no evidence whatsoever to support the theory of an "afterlife". Therefore our only realistic goal is to find happiness in this cold world.

not understanding the question.
But my aim in life is not riches, beauty(plastic surgery, etc..), fame or fortune.
It will all fanish at some point.
My aim is pleasing God.
