By the way, my hair is kind of really lightbrown and even a bit orangey right now because of the summer sun -___O

I think it looks really good unless you are pale white and then it looks dyed. Know what I mean?

Go for it, you can always recolor or bleach...

Good luck

please please please have it professionally done! I made the mistake (twice) of dying my own hair black and both times had to spend over $100 to get it corrected (stripped then re-dyed.) It will probably look beautiful on you, but just be prepared that it may make your skin look lighter. You may want to try on a black wig and see if the color looks good with your skin tone. I'm guessing it probably does. But a professional knows just how long it needs to stay on, how much your particular hair-type soaks up the dye, etc. All that makes a big difference. Just know that once you go black unless it's semi-permanent, (and actually some semi-permanents can permanently stain your hair depending on your hair type) the only way to ever change it is to lighten it with bleach or by stripping the color.

Black usually only looks good when it is natural. Think about it seriously before you color your hair black. If you dont like it, its a very hard color to get rid of, you would either have to let it grow out, cut it off, or even bleach it out. That may fry your hair if you do that. Black is harsh.. Maybe go for a dark brown instead. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Black is a difficult color to do yourself. It should work fine with your coloring. I would recommend going to a stylist for this. Instead of completely black, I would ask for black with panels of dark brown or mahogany red highlights so that there is a little lift in the shade. Black also looks great with a clear gloss treatment (like Clairol Natural Instincts Shine Happy).

Okay well black wouldn't be a bad color but it dose damage your hair a lot i would recommend a darker brown. because in order to change your black hair if you would decide to you must bleach it out and then once you bleach it it will be even more damaged and bleaching it doesn't always work so you might end up with fried hair. and if you do die it black and your roots will grow back and if your hair is like a Brown orange color then your roots with show a lot more but you should do what you like best.

I would say go for it. Being that I love Asian culture, educated in Japan & China. Plus I love a lady with black hair. And my favorite color to wear is black.

If you are going to color, try and use natural color instead of ones with chemicals in them as they will only destroy your hair. Also brush with a natural hair brush, as opposed to the plastic.. Plus use a good conditioner.

With the brushing and keeping your hair clean with a good shampoo and good conditioner your hair should look just great.

Your hair should already be a dark color, a dark brown like mine is, ( I am Mexican). If you want to go really dark you should go to a real professional place and get it done correctly so you won't have stains or that silly blue color. ( and for those of you that are culturally challenged really dark , shiny, hair is a good thing in Asian culture. It shows how healthy and young you are. )

I think with your skin color it would make you look kind of pale. Try going for lowlights that are a dark brown first, before you decide to go black.

If I were you, I do not think that I would dye it. It is very harmful to your hair and you may not like it. Then you would have to wait for it to grow out. Dye also makes your hair dry, So if you have healthy undry hair, keep it the way it is.

If you dye your hair black you cannot get it off ever, it must grow out. I will never do it again cause it's so harsh on hair. I would dye it dark brown.
