I would say go with CRICKET, unlimited calls nationwide, Internet, picture messaging as well as normal messaging. I have Cricket and I can talk to anyone at anytime as much as I want to all for $45.00 per month, If you figure the mid month plan changes, the worries about going over your minutes, Cricket has the best plan going, and there is NO credit check. I love my Cricket phone and plan. The best part is that there is no contract, none at all, stop service at any time without any penalty. Just go to http://www.mycricket.com/index.php?se=yahoo&camapaign=mycricket

Stay AWAY from Cingular they are nothing but lyeing stealing CROOKS. We got cell phone service with them and when we did they made us sign a contract. The little worm in the store said if the phones didnt work in our area just bring them back and we will refund your money.. So we took them home an tried them NO SERVICE well we went back and they said try these , a more expensive set.. So we did.. Still NO SERVICE... So we went back to the store and the fight was on to get the money back.. Finally after a week and fight an fighting more.. They refunded the money. Then a few months latter we started getting letters from them that we breeched there contract and owe them 168.00... So were fighting them and there bill collectors on that.. All most to the point of sewing there high an mighty butts.. I would say stay FAR FAR away from CINGULAR... We use Verizon and have had no problems with them and there coverage is excellent. We don’t have ‘perfect” credit about average and they did not make us put anything up front or down.. And there pretty easy to work with on things. BUT STAY AWAY FROM CINGULAR!!!!!

If you're worried about credit, check T-Mobile. They're the easiest to get approved by except Sprint (but Sprint's network sucks). T-Mobile uses the same network as Cingular (check the coverage maps, they're identical), but they're cheaper and they have that myFaves thing now where you can have 5 numbers to call totally free. Definitely worth it.
Get somebody else to sign for you if you get approved "SmartAccess" though, because that puts you on a crappier network.
Ask what letter credit class you're called by T-Mobile.
A, B, C, L, N, and O are good (no deposit).
T & Q are SmartAccess ($75 and $0 deposit, respectively).
D and H have deposits ($250 and $500, respectively).

If your credit is bad they may charge a deposit before you can get a cell phone. They did that to my mom and she ended up going with Verizon because the didn't require the deposit.

you mustn't use this as an assessment to circulate with a cellular provider provider, touch each and every of the carriers and verify they have insurance at your place, artwork, and a place you the two shop or carry close out lots. it is extra valuable to have provider you ought to use and pay out a extra physically powerful preliminary deposit than get a provider that may not function for you. in case you are able to not have the money for the deposit you are able to evaluate not getting a cellular telephone, they in many cases circulate hand in hand of having the ability to have the money for the provider.
