This guy is cool but I am just not in the mood to go out. I know if I tell him this it will hurt his feelings. What is a good way to get out of the date without hurting the guy?

Be honest and sensitive to his feelings. Let him know normally you wouldn't mind but today is not a good day.

Just tell him you are not in the mood to go out, if he is a good guy, then he will understand, just be honest. And if you want to see him again, tell him that and reschedule the date when canceling the this one. then he wont feel so bad, if he really likes you he will know he has another date and it is not that you don't like him. Stuff happens, it is called life. Sometimes we just aren't up to it. Honesty is always the best policy, people appreciate when you are honest and can accept that much easier than a lie that will eventually be found out. good luck and God bless

You've got two options
1. Invent some stupid lie and then have to remember what stupid lie you told him, and hope that he doesnt' find out that you're a liar and not a very good one.

2. Give him enough advanced notice and not wait until the last minute. Try saying something like, "I hate to do this because you're incredibly cool and I've been looking forward to this date..but honestly, I'm in a real nasty mood and don't want to inflict it on you. Would you mind if we postponed the date to "

Honesty...it's just so much easier to remember....

Well if you just don't feel like going on a date tonight, then tell him that you're sorry, but you don't feel well, but you would like to plan the date for another time. If you're not inttrested in the guy tell him the truth. It may hurt his feelings, but it's better than spending a miserable time with someone you're not intrested in.

Well i did the same thing. I ended up regretting it like crazy. I say try it but if you are really not in the mood then tell him that you dont feel well and you have extreme bad cramps. And that you will reschedule ASAP!

I would say tell the truth.
I would also say give him a chance.
But if you're desprate. Tell a friend to call you in the middle of the date and the two of you should have an excuse made up before hand to get out of there (ex. hosiptal related, family emergancy).

The truth: No matter what he's going to be a little depressed about not being able to go out with you.

All you can do is reschedule, I'm sure he'll understand.

Be honest, when he catches wind of the lie that will hurt him more. And if you can't muster it, tell him it's that time or something if he's that sensitive he'll understand those guys always do.

Do you think making up something and lying to him is going to make him feel better as opposed to telling him the truth.
