I wonder if the amazing feeling you had was more because she said yes and that you love her rather than the romantic setting although i do admit it does rather set the scene doesnt it.
My boyfriend asked me what I wanted for Christmas a couple of weeks ago, we were sat in his kitchen having a sausage sandwich. When I said I just want a happy Christmas (I know...puke, but I didnt want to seem greedy for big pressies) He asked if I wanted an engagement ring. At that moment I I was so happy that his kitchen was THE best place to be.

i think each of us has a different perspective on what makes a proposal romantic. i like the way you did it, nice and simple in a pretty setting. i don't go for those over the top ideas of using a baseball games score board, or a blimp, or even putting the ring in food or drink and she discovers it 'accidentally'. for me, it's best to do it when the feeling is right, and the moment is personal, coz it'll be something you'll both remember for ever.
